Dr (Eng). Karanja Kibicho, CBS is the Principal Secretary of State Department of Interior & Citizen Services in the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering (University of Cape Town), a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (University of Nairobi) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (University of Nairobi). Dr. Kibicho has a sterling long experience and service having worked for Organizations such as the Kenya Tea Development Authority (KTDA), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Lecturer), University of Dar es Salaam (External Examiner), Central University of Technology in South Africa (visiting lecturer) and University of Cape Town (Part-time lecturer). In addition, he has been recognized internationally for his research in the use of coffee husks, rice husks and a number of bio-degradable biomass to prepare briquettes as alternative fuel and carrying out laboratory model experiments on reduction of carbon dioxide in industrial exhaust fumes by use of wet scrubber.
